This week we continued to polish our build for playtesting at the Northgate Highschool on Friday. We got a lot of valuable feedback from these high school playtesters on Friday! We also have our faculty consultant section on Thursday with Jonathan, and we decided to try and add a doodling feature in our game, where players can draw pixel art pieces and hang them on the wall in their chill room!
Programming:
- Continued debugging and fixing the bugs in the diary system.
- Put the new environment, furniture, and animation into the game.
- Researched on the doodling function.
Art:
- Revised the mouse icons.
- Finished some pet accessories.
- Polished user tutorial flow.

Production:
- Updated the website and wrote the weekly blog post.
- Collected and reviewed the playtest feedback from faculty.
- Collected and reviewed the playtest feedback from high school playtesters.
Sound:
- Did sound research on different furniture according to the theme of each furniture.
Challenge:
- Look at ways to implement the Doodling feature (pixel or not? pen brushes?)
- Need to catch up the members have Covid and re-check our development plan.
Plan for next week:
- Work on the Doodling feature.
- More art assets coming in!
- Continue playtests and debugging, preparing for the take-home playtests.
