We made our halves presentation on Monday this week!!!

After preparing and rehearsing for the presentation for so many times, we finished our final presentation fluently and successfully within our expectation. The process is quite smooth, and we’re so happy that we got lots of faculty’s feedback on our project so that we could improve in the rest of the semester.
The next day of the halves presentation is the regular meeting day with Jessica Hammer. Since Jessica has got covid, we ran this meeting through Zoom. In this meeting, she helped us answering some questions from faculty’s feedback in the presentation.
- The swiping action initiates quick judgment and they’re worried if peer feedback should be taken in with more time.
- Our answer: Yes, and that is why we’re relying on both quick judgment and reflection. The prototype follows selection -> reflection
- Mike: swiping and hearing back from the students
- It’s an emotional aspect of it. We’ll definitely consider this in UX part
- How can we establish our playtesting process in the later part of the semester?
- Use DAS class for long-term collaboration for user testing.
For the working plan in the future, we will still paralleling work. This is the first version of how we divide the work:
- Alexa: 5 1on1 interview & speed dating to get some insight based on some designed scenario, not sure to do survey(discuss in Thursday)
- Sarah: Coordinate with Alexa for prepping UX research related question sets. Recap filer user flow with Constanza and refine interaction architecture
- Penghua: Doing UI design on figma based the interaction flow provided by Constanza and Sarah.
- Constanza: Co-work with Sarah to refine the UX (interaction flow & information architecture); Track task list & wrap up each week’s progress based on team members’ task completion.
- Muru: Use unity to make some basic function like swapping and jump to next one
- Fanya: Arrange meetings, manage task list, keep writing blogs and refining website, manage team email, track team progress
After the instructor’s meeting, we gathered together and discussed lots of stuffs of what we will do in the rest of the semester.

We sorted out all the faculty feedback:

We discussed the timeline and attendance for the rest of the semester:
