EchoTrio is originally a project named “Ask the Andys”, that advances the Entertainment Technology Center’s synthetic interview studio platform by bringing together hologram and Natural Language Processing (Ai) technologies. Together they form the foundation for a completely unique, interactive experience.
The ETC exists at the intersection of science and creativity; technology and art. From there a narrative emerges that brings together two iconic Carnegie Mellon University characters – Andrew Carnegie and Andy Warhol. As the voices of both technology and art, the two Andys can engage in a conversation with each other and with the audience creating a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience.
After careful research and discussion, the goal has shifted to exploring how to capture attention by creating an experience where a user converses with two AI characters. For the current scenario, the team has chosen Athena and Poseidon, figures from Greek mythology.
Since this is a faculty-pitched project, EchoTrio currently does not have clients, as the team reports to their instructors, Moshe and Shirley.
