Introduction
As we discussed last week, without preset characters we needed to define our own. The verdict: Athena and Poseidon step into the lead roles. Their rivalry—rooted in the founding myth of Athens—gives us a built-in stage for tension, contrast, and strong narrative direction. With that decided, we pushed forward on visual style, camera angles, and how players will “meet” the gods. Suddenly, the project felt less abstract and more like a staged performance.
Progress
- Character Selection
- Art reference
- Voice to voice interaction
We have also made a lot of progress on the team’s brand design. Checkout the media page for our logo, poster, and half sheet!
What’s next
Our current challenge is that we still struggle to clearly define our goals and deliverables. Instead of following a clean design → execute flow, we’ve chosen to build whatever pieces we can now, and then reconstruct a more coherent structure from those prototypes.
For next week, our goal is to present a tech demo with the personalities of Athena and Poseidon locked in, along with basic art assets for Athena to help mimic the interactive experience.
