Pan-Pan Gou

Role: Sound Designer

Bio: Pan-Pan is a sound designer and composer. Currently a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, she is passionate about creating soundscapes that inspire storytelling and evokes human experience. Her work ranges from theater, games, films to dance.
Receiving Her bachelor’s degree in Classical Music and Theatrical sound design at University of California, Irvine, Pan-Pan is also trained in classical voice and find her music background allowing her approach sound design creatively.

Shan Jiang

Role: Producer, VR/UE5 Programmer

Bio:  Shan Jiang is a creative, multi-disciplinary, and multi-lingual producer and programmer passionate about the entertainment industry. After completing internships at Unity Technologies and Psychic VR Lab (Japan), she is a current Master of Entertainment Technology student at Carnegie Mellon University. Since her undergrad at Mount Holyoke College (the first women’s college in the U.S.), Shan has been studying Computer Science and created a special major in Interactive Media to pursue her passion for entertainment. Over 30 projects have come to life while working independently or in teams over the past few years, including casual mobile games, iOS, Android, and HoloLens (AR) apps, VR documentaries and Oculus VR games, animations, interactive films, and location-based installations, etc. As a member of IGDA and attendee at GDC, GHC, and game jams, Shan keeps leveling up her skills outside school and remains an active member of the community.

Yu (Lyn) Li

Role: Environment Artist

Bio: Yu Li is an enthusiastic artist who has worked as a 3D generalist, environment artist and lighting artist in the game industry. She is currently enrolled as a second year student at Carnegie Mellon University, Entertainment Technology Center. Her diverse education and industry experience has helped her gain a solid foundation in 3D environment art and advanced skills in creating high-quality art assets and textures, scene composition and atmospheric lighting. 

Yingzi (Eiko) Qu

Role: Environment Artist

Bio: Eiko is an passionate and creative environment artist focusing on the game industry. She is currently enrolled as a second year graduate student at  Carnegie Mellon University, pursuing a degree in  Master of Entertainment Technology. Her educational backgrounds include BS in Business and Finance, and Interactive Media Arts, which help her grow into an open-minded and active artist. Her experience of game projects includes board games, PC, VR (Oculus), AR (Hololens), new multimedia (Leap Motion, Kinect, Vive, Arduino), etc, and as an artist in the team, she works with Photoshop, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, SP, SD, Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.  

Dian Yi

Role: Environment Artist

Bio: Dian is an inquisitive, self-driven and creative environment artist specializing in modeling, sculpting, texturing and world building for games. She has internship experience at Respawn Entertainment, NetEase Games and was involved in various AAA and independent game projects such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Hidden World Records. Currently she is a second year master student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. Dian’s passions lie in environmental storytelling and creating stunning game environments.

Zizhuo (Joy) Wang

Role: Environment Artist

Bio: Zizhuo Wang is passionate about making games and animations, he is a student currently studying for his master’s degree at Entertainment Technology Center. He is good at visualizing ideas using tools like Maya, Substance and game engines. He is also studying rigging, lookdev, and visual storytelling.

Moshe Mahler

Role: Assistant Teaching Professor at CMU ETC

Bio: Moshe Mahler is an award-winning professional innovator and storyteller whose work has been featured in attractions at Disney Parks and Resorts and shown worldwide at prestigious venues including SIGGRAPH, UIST, Comic Con, and Ars Electronica. For nearly a decade, Mahler led The Creative Technology Team at Disney Research of The Walt Disney Company, where he served as the Principal Artist. Under his supervision, the team worked hand in hand with elite Research Scientists to invent and utilize new technologies across the Walt Disney Company, collaborating with Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney Consumer Products, Disney Television Animation, Imagineering, and more. Mahler has authored more than 10 technical paper publications at premiere conferences and is an inventor of four issued patents. Moshe currently holds a Faculty position at The Entertainment Technology Center of Carnegie Mellon University and is a Principal and Owner of BIG eMotion Technologies.

Heather Kelley

Role: Assistant Teaching Professor at CMU ETC

Bio: Named in 2013 as one of the five most powerful women in gaming by Inc. magazine, and in 2011 by Fast Company as one of the most influential women in technology, Ms. Kelley co-curated the groundbreaking 2012 exhibition Joue le jeu / Play Along at La Gaîté lyrique in Paris, France. She is co-founder of Kokoromi, an experimental game collective, with whom she has produced and curated the renowned GAMMA event promoting experimental games as creative expression in a social context. Heather’s extensive career in the games industry has included design and production of AAA next-gen console games, interactive smart toys, handheld games, research games, and web communities for girls. In 2008, she was Kraus Visiting Assistant Professor of Art, and Adjunct Faculty at the Entertainment Technology Center, at Carnegie Mellon University, where she organized The Art of Play symposium and art game arcade.
