In the first week, Team Flow gathered together to make alignment on our project objectives as well as arranged meetings with faculty members.
- Project Overview
Flow is an interactive immersive experience that leads the guests into a traditional Chinese
folklore through dance, light, and music. It paints the traditional Chinese folk tales through the
combination of digital installation and dance movements, utilizing light and virtual engines to
create the immersive experience which makes the guests surrounded by the characters from all
angles. As guests walk into the dark room and activate the world through interactions, the story
begins. The level of engagement will increase as guests immerse themselves into the world.
Starting with physical props, then virtual interactions with the world, and later guests are going to
collaborate. As the story moves to the climax both visually and emotionally, the guests will join in
the celebration, and dance freely.
- Design
– Flow Experience Design
Hours of brainstorming as a team on the experience journey, with more detailed, possible vision/ sound, potential interactions with specific physical props, (we are still trying to figure out the virtual interactions which will be leading the guests interacting with the world through gestures. We are finding ways to have indirect control rather than directly telling the guests what to do.)
– Sketches on paper with markers, put sticky notes with unsolved questions
