Week 1

Summary

During the initial week, we kicked off with our first instructor meeting where we discussed team objectives, individual goals, and took stock of our collective skills. We also had our inaugural client meeting, gaining valuable background information on autism in workplace, and insights into their expectations, actions to avoid. The client provided a concise two-page brief, offering clarity on the project.

Defining Our Team Dynamics

As our project took shape, it was imperative to clearly establish our roles and streamline our collaborative efforts. To solidify our identity and ensure a cohesive working environment, we settled on a team name and specified core working hours that would best suit everyone.

Here’s a breakdown of our team members and their respective roles:

Varun: As the Producer, he will oversee the project from a macro perspective, communicate with clients, ensuring that timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively.

James: Taking on the role of Game Designer, James is responsible for shaping the game’s mechanics, story, and overall experience. He will work closely with the entire team to bring the game vision to life.

Ash: Our UI/UX Designer, Ash will focus on creating intuitive interfaces and ensuring that the user experience is seamless and engaging. Additionally, she will be responsible for the project brandings, including designing the team logo, poster, half sheet, and project website.

Laura: As a 3D Artist, Laura will breathe life into our game with her artistic prowess. She will create the visual assets, characters, and environments, giving depth and realism to our virtual world.

Zibo: Holding the reins as our Programmer, Zibo will transform our ideas into tangible gameplay. He will tackle challenges related to coding and ensure that the game runs smoothly across various platforms.
