Based on the faculties’ feedbacks from halves, the team chose to try different mechanics to maximize the usage of the Looking Glass. The goal for this series of mini-games is to compare the play experience on a Looking Glass to that on a 4K display. If the final testing result shows that the game is NOT playable on a 4K display, then it should be called ‘successful’ as it is developed only for looking glass.
So this week, the team is focusing on developing the first mini game of the series.
Mini Game 1: Matrix Game
Features:
1.Change Block Height
- Block A has 2 height settings, the trigger is attached on Block B
- On trigger, block A change to the other height setting
2.Patrol Enemy
- In 3 blocks(next to each other, forming a line), the enemy roams back and forth. Each second(or 0.5s), the enemy moves to the next block. When it reaches the end, it turns around.
- If the player is caught(appears on the same block) by the enemy, the player respawns.
Art
The team is also creating the model of the robot starship character.
