Over the past week, we collected a significant amount of feedback. A recurring question stood out:
“Either make it a better, funnier mini-game, or make it a game that has more mechanics associated with depth and different viewing angles.”
This aligns closely with something we’ve been asking ourselves.
Currently, our game is a fun and engaging mini-game that utilizes depth as a core mechanic. However, we’ve observed that players aren’t consistently moving their heads or bodies to explore different perspectives through the Looking Glass display — a behavior we originally intended to encourage.
This reveals an opportunity: while the game includes depth, it doesn’t yet fully leverage the unique affordances of the 3D display. Players can reach the goal without needing to actively shift their viewpoint, which means we’re not yet tapping into the full potential of spatial interaction.
As for our goal, we want to:
- Not only encourage more frequent movement and exploration from different physical angles.
- But also introduce new mechanics and features to make it a more complete game:
- Button: certain buildings will now have visible (or hidden) buttons placed on top of them. When pressed by the delivery cat, these buttons will cause other designated buildings to rise or lower.
- Collapse: there are certain buildings that have one unstable side. if the player jump to the building from the unstable side (for instance, we can mark the unstable side red), the building will collapes and the player will die.
Soft Playtest:
We got a lot of useful feedback from faculties and people from the industry, and here are some of the points that we want to adopt to improve our game:
- Sound effects:
- when player hit the button
- building rising should have sfx
- the main character’s sound (cat sound)
- The clock maybe should not be ticking during the intro animation, only during the count-down part
- can’t jump sfx
- UI:
- Money❌ -> Stars ✅
- Also add a “total stars earned” _/36 at the top right part of the screen.
- Timer bar ❌-> Customer icon at the delivery point ✅
- Indication for the buildings’ heights
- Big number?
- Glowing lines for every floor?
- Other forms?

- Bugs:
- The cat glitch (?) after respawning
- Others:
- Add “food” to every single level.
- Credit of assets (sound, 3D model, etc)
- After player die and reset – also need to reset the direction (facing north)
