Week 11

Playtest Day Feedbacks

We had the ETC Playtest Day last Saturday and hosted 10 groups of playtesters. By having the playtesters to first play on the normal screen then on the Looking Glass Display, we have proven this mechanic can showcase the volumetric effect well. The players couldn’t get to the destination on the normal screen; however, on the LGD, the player could judge based on the height of the buildings.

Most of the playtesrers mentioned they want more levels and can keep playing for hours. One thing we noticed and got feedback from the playtesters was that the timer wasn’t obvious enough and they weren’t able to relate it with the tips earned. So we’ll rework on the UI for the timer and tips. We also want to implement the feature that collecting food can add more time to the timer to give the players more incentives to collect the food.

Tech

During playtest, we’ve noticed that the player was still able to move even after the timer ends. So we fixed this issue — now after player got reset to the next level, cannot move before timer moves
