Hi!
This week is ETC soft opening week! We had five faculties signed up for the our soft opening: Mo, Scott, Ricardo, Mike and Brenda!
Thank you for coming! And we got extremely valuable advice on our animation: lighting / stage design / motions / styles.
For Lighting:
- Overall lighting has a very strong contrast between colors. Hard and dark shadows need to be improve
- Lighting quality needs to be improved. The team should think about the light source of each scene
- Lighting of limbo stage needs to be re-designed
For Staging (transition):
- Some of the transitions in the background are not clear to the audience.
- Repeating elements in usages
- Falling speed from the chessboard does not match the expectation of natural human falling
- Limbo transitions in merging 2 avatars need a better transition. Can be lighting exposure
For Motion (Mocap animation / Camera):
- Need more animation on avatar’s hands
- Fix some of sliding animation offsets
- Difference between
For Style (Color grading / visual post-processing):
- Will need to adjust post-processing in Unreal Engine
- Need to increase the render quality
- Some of the assets, specially assets models in hero shots, need to be smoothed in poly counts
