Week 3 : 01.29.24 -02.04.24

1/4th Done or 3/4th Not Done?

Quarters a.k.a 1/4th walkarounds was the major deliverable of this week.
Would we be considered lucky or unlucky to have our quarters done by Monday?

Narrative Beats and Interactions Outline on Miro we presented at the Quarters

The majority of the feedback and comments from our Quarters are listed down below:

  • Start building
  • You should have a build by now.
  • Break out of reality and accept the dreamscape. Be more abstract
  • Find an easy way to prototype, that can be iterated on quickly
  • The narrative experience must have multiple correct answers. Quite like the path to processing trauma.
  • Have you started building already?
  • No?! Maybe you should start building asap.

The quarters made us realize that we needed to make our decisions quick, and start testing not only our story and emotions but also our interactions.

We decided to create two major deliverables for this week:

  • Twine demo of text and storyboard to test the impact of story and the clarity of emotions being shown
  • Unity scene transition prototype to test whether the visuals and intuitiveness of our shaders, core paintbrush interaction and scene transitions.

We Plan to test them internally and with non team members by the end of week 4.
