Storm Before the Calm
Halves is here!
While halves is an important milestone semester wise, for our project it was doubly important because we started “production” this week.
Ding ding ding. Hear yee hear yee. Here are our big Achievements:
- We finally had a playable VR build thanks to the work of all the artist, designers and programmers! Kesha brought all the moving parts together
- We saw in action the amazing shaders that our programmer, Charlie has been working on tirelessly
- We were able to arrange the amazing assets created by our artists Steve and Meghna into our VR environment
- Vee helped us bring the VR environment to life with the music they composed. Danni and Vee worked together to give voice to the “Aunt” and “Mother” character in our narrative.
Presentation:
The halves presentation turned out to be very useful for our team in more ways than expected.
While discussing what to show in our presentation, we realized a few things:
- We had yet to set a definite scope and final milestone for our project.
- We realized how much work we had done! A lot of us had been feeling anxious about our progress, and while we did recognize that we were slightly behind, we got an opportunity to put together our work and see it come to life!
- We were able to vocalize our project strengths and potential challenges.
