How time flies! This is the final week of this semester. This week, we finished the SIGGRAPH Poster abstract and submitted it on Monday. For the rest of this week, we mainly focused on the final presentation slides.
Poster Abstract
Last week, we got feedback from Google about our draft. So we modified the content last weekend. And on Monday, we had meetings with our instructor Ruth and our consultant Mike. They both provided very good feedback and suggestions. And we also confirmed our final conclusion, which is relatable, visual metaphors help increase informational and emotional accessibility. With greater accessibility comes greater engagement, creating a recursive response, feeding into a cycle resulting in more lasting paradigm shifts.
So this Monday, our team worked till 9 and submitted it! Even though we all feel exhausted, we also think it is worth trying. So this is the link to our poster draft, hope it gets accepted!
Final Presentation
We will have our final presentation next Wednesday. So this week we finished the overall structure of our presentation and confirmed it with our consultants Mike and Erin. We plan to start with a short description of our project and introduce our global hypothesis, target demographic, and overall structure. Then we will introduce each sprint separately. For each sprint, we will show the demo video or gif, and introduce the dataset, platform, and ML algorithm we used. We plan to focus on what we took from past prototypes and what is successful and unsuccessful for each sprint. After introducing all the sprints, we move on to our final conclusion and final deliverables. And finally, we want to share the challenges we met this semester and what we learned from overcoming the challenges. We will keep refining the slides next week before the presentation.
