trAIn&gAIn is an Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) project making a collection of mini-games to help students better understand Artificial Intelligence. The mini-games will function as support materials for AI courses and curriculum designed by Artificial Intelligence Pathways Institute, Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA).

Phil Light is an ETC Alumnus (2007) who has spent most of his career building games and apps as a startup co-founder or for companies ranging from local startups to major corporations such as IBM and Google. In 2021, he began to work as a project manager working on STEM for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania. He loves being creative and active and plans to live in Pittsburgh for as long as possible.

One of the largest and most comprehensive providers of Before & After School and summer day camp programming in the region, is a licensed childcare provider, and offers scholarships to families in need. Programming includes academic literacy, STEM enrichment, sports and recreational activities and mentoring. Additionally, BGCWPA serves young adults ages 18-24 through workforce development programming.
