Summary:
Only a week away from the soft, we spent a challenging days at the start of the week. As some of the guests tend to lose balance on the boots or felt insecure walking in the boots from time to time, we tried ourselves in a variety way of walking and realized the boots were not working in a weird way when we try to turn directions. Sometimes they tend to be delayed in pulling the user to the center and even pulled each foot in different directions.
However, thanks to our clients who were very supportive and responsive, we could solve this problem in few days. As soon as we reported this and shared some video, Bobby visited ETC and took the boots to take a look at them. Soon they found out that the motors were loosened and changed them quickly. Fortunately, after the change of the boots, they worked in the perfect condition!
Client Meeting:
In week12 client meeting, we mainly discussed about
- the final iterations & development we are working on
- In terms of the new scanning method, Brad was a bit concerned and wanted us to make sure that it does not occur any motion sickness
- final deliverable with the required documents
- The more details we share the better: Unit projects, documents, any comments…
- Also would like to get additional doc. as playtest data, feedback shared
Main iterations the team locked down with:
- No micro interaction object & delete sample popping up
- New scanning method implemented with the VFX
- The Scan/ Collect tutorial got moved to PT.3
- Layout: Do not leave the room for guests to choose the path, 3 samples at designated loc
- Ending: After collecting 3 samples, Credit + Jellyfish surrounds the guest + Trees bloom
