Jan 30 – Feb 5
Summary:
We had 1/4 Walkaround with the faculties. We had a great opportunity of hearing a variety of feedback and perspective. Based on the feedback we could figure out what the audience would expect the most from the experience and what to highlight.
Our first design document was sent to the client. Through this week’s client meeting:
- We shared the feedbacks we had from 1/4 and remaining questions.
- Our main target audience, purpose, and expected result were clearly defined
- Brad and Bobby agreed on the direction we were heading to and suggested to combine idea 2 and 3.
Production:
Updates on the team Backlog to boosts up the efficiency! We now got a task tracker integrated with slack bot set-up and a more detailed breakdown semester schedule which would be helpful to keep everyone on the same page.
Our cute task alarm bot
On Friday, we had a team lunch and had a great time rewarding our productive week3!
Design:
After the 1/2 walkaround and client meeting, we could narrow down to idea 2 but combining parts from idea 3. We shared our Design Idea pitch deck with John and finally locked down with more detailed, ready-to-work-on design idea. We planned for playtest 1 on next Monday. It would be covering basic tutorial instructions and walking. We hope to figure out walkable length, appropriate scale of VR space, step size, and if the guest understands instruction through our first playtest.
We also had a causal interview / boba time with previous BVW team who worked on EKTO boots. We could listen to their experience in person and grab more sense about designing an experience for EKTO ONE.
Special thanks to Annie, Ray, Varun, Ryan, and Jessica for their visit and help!
