Ruohao Jing is a game designer and 3D artist currently pursuing a Master of Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University. With a background in animation, visual effects, and game development, he specializes in character modeling, environment art, and gameplay-focused production pipelines. On the Aidyn: Reforged project, he leads 3D asset production, including character modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, animation, and engine integration. His interests focus on combining strong visual identity with engaging gameplay systems across RPG, strategy, and interactive narrative experiences.

Liam Neely

Liam Neely (he/she/they) is a Pittsburgh-based musician studying Electronic Music at Carnegie Mellon University. They strive to combine their passions of music composition and creative coding by creating interactive media such as musical installations and electronic instruments. Additionally, they teach Piano and Musical Improvisation for the CMU Preparatory School and serve as the graduate assistant for Piano Maintenance at CMU.

Ayman Kone

Ayman-Yereem Kone earned his B.S. in Simulation and Game Design with a concentration in coding from the University of Baltimore. He is passionate about combining technology and art, with experience in projects spanning VR tools, AI-driven simulations, and shaders. At the ETC, he aims to grow as a technical artist and collaborate on creating innovative interactive experiences.

Austin Szema
Developer
Austin is a technical game designer who focuses on prototyping games mechanics and systems in Unity. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, where he studied Game Design and minored in Computer Science. He was President of the IGDA Northeastern Chapter for two years and has been a Conference Associate at the Game Developer’s Conference for the past three years (2023-2025). Before joining the ETC, he released a puzzle game called No Party In Paradise on the IOS App Store, and is currently working on releasing a bullet heaven game called Frogmageddon onto Steam. His goal is to create games that lead to meaningful connections and establish thriving communities.

Quin Xu
2D Artist
Quin studied Entertainment Design and Product Design, with a strong interest in graphic design and illustration. Outside of design, he enjoys traditional painting and sculpting, blending hands-on creativity with digital skills. Passionate about the creative industry, Quin has already released a game on Steam and created a music video for a world top-10 DJ, showcasing his ability to bring ideas to life across different mediums.

Currently a first-year graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center, pursuing a Master of Entertainment Technology. Experienced in rapid prototyping through numerous short-term projects and game jams. Skilled in game and narrative design, with working knowledge of Unity development, editor tools, and basic C# scripting. Passionate about creating interactive experiences that blend strong design principles with compelling storytelling.
Over 18 years of international living experience across three countries, with strong adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills. Skilled in collaborating within diverse environments and bridging differing perspectives through cultural understanding and mutual respect.
Creative focus centers on exploring real-world issues through fictional narratives. Skilled at integrating social themes, historical elements, and other serious topics into coherent fictional settings that provoke reflection and emotional engagement. Driven by the belief that entertainment can transcend amusement to offer deeper meaning and insight.

Chris Klug
Instructor
Chris Klug is a Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center, where he teaches courses in game production, game design and creative writing. With a career spanning theater, tabletop games and video games, Chris brings decades of creative expertise to his students, inspiring them to craft compelling narratives and innovative designs.
Trained as a theatrical lighting designer, Chris began his career working on Broadway, in regional theater, and touring with 1970s rock bands. He transitioned to game design in 1981, joining Simulations Publications, Inc., where he contributed to titles such as Universe and led the design for the second edition of DragonQuest, Horror Hotel and Damocles Mission. At SPI, he also edited the role-playing section of Ares magazine.
Following SPI’s acquisition by TSR, Chris joined Victory Games and designed the “Game of the Year” award-winning James Bond 007 role-playing game, recognized for its emphasis on story and narrative. Over his career, Chris has worked on more than a dozen video games, including Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage (RPG Story of the Year), Star Trek DS9: Dominion Wars and Duke Nukem: Time to Kill. As Creative Director at EA’s Westwood Studios, he led the narrative team for Earth & Beyond, EA’s first MMO.
Chris later served as Creative Director at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, designing Stargate Worlds, an MMO based on the Stargate TV franchise. He collaborated with the show’s writers to synchronize the evolving storylines across media. While teaching at the ETC, he secured $8 million in funding for Dream Wedding Planner, an innovative social and mobile game platform.
In addition to teaching, Chris consults with game publishers worldwide. A playwright and member of the Writers Guild of America West, he continues to shape the future of interactive storytelling through his teaching and professional work.
