Week 11 : Preparing for the Soft Opening

Since we only have a week and half to prepare for the soft opening due to the upcoming thanksgiving, we had to wisely plan on our final iteration.

Our priority to work on for this sprint was as follows:

  1. Implementing the new ways of getting clues
    – coupon dispenser & free samples at the stand
  2. To bring the multiple-words-item back
    – Added visual aid & user confirmation page to prevent confusion and help better understanding
  3. More VFX implemented to visually differentiate each section
  4. SFX & UI added to make the moment a section closing obvious
    – in the form of grocery market announcement
  5. SFX & UI added to inform the player when the opponent finds an item

Our expected final iterations after the break are as follows:

  1. Power ups
    (Something that can involve interaction between players)
  2. Showing the image generated by the players’ own prompt
    (opponent’s target item)
  3. UI Motion Graphic (expected to be done during the break)

We also asked for faculties’ help in gathering resources about the external festivals and venues to show our work. Since our work had a purpose of experiment or exploration of Generative AI at the same time of developing a playable game prototype, we could not find our places in normal game festivals nor typical research venues.
