Production:
Halves presentation is coming up next week. We have started to put assets together to replace graybox models. The basic layout is ready for 3 out of 4 rooms. More references are attached below.
Art/UI:



More assets are on the way to be added to the scenes.


Filming:
With the emerging technology of AI-generated videos, we tried out a few platforms and picked Synthesia as a potential tool. Users can select a template and feed it with text dialogue. It will create videos with a person stating the dialogue.


Simply compositing the videos in the room gives out the following results. Unreal Engine takes lights into account when rendering media.


Programming:
Profiling and optimization have been a big part of the programming tasks in order to keep the project running with PC VR. We target RTX3070 as our minimum requirement for graphics cards.
Audio:
Room ambient sounds and music (from a record player) have been added to the experience. Guests can now hear spatialized audio when they move closer or farther to some areas.
