Week 14 Final Polish & Festival

Week 14 marked our final push—pulling together the last pieces of art, UI, tutorials, and gameplay polish before sharing the project publicly. This week was all about implementation, refinement, and getting our build ready for players.

Final Implementation Week

We spent the early part of the week integrating all remaining updated artwork and UI elements into the build. This included:

  • New character art and expressions
  • Final gameplay animations
  • A reorganized UI that made materials easier to compare
  • Clear definitions for every component and stat, accessible directly within the interface

With these additions, the experience became more cohesive, readable, and player-friendly.

Monday: QA + Tutorial Production

On Monday, we held a quality assurance meeting to review the state of the final build and confirm that our MVP goals were fully met. This gave us a chance to spot last-minute bugs, polish visual clarity, and ensure the flow from client to prototype to testing felt smooth.

We also recorded and finalized the tutorial video, completing the last major teaching component of the experience. This wrapped together our voiceover, visual boards, and updated UI into a concise, clear introduction for new players.

Tuesday: Faculty Review

On Tuesday, we walked through the newest build with our faculty advisors. Their feedback helped validate the improvements we made and highlighted the areas that felt strongest in the final iteration. With their notes in hand, we made a few final adjustments before festival setup.

Festival Ready

By the end of the week, we were festival-ready. As players came through our project room, we received a wide range of reactions—and some particularly interesting feedback.

Many visitors found the information both unique and unexpectedly fascinating, especially the insight into materials, design choices, and real-world footwear engineering. Watching players make connections, ask questions, and test their own prototypes reinforced how engaging and educational the experience had become.

Wrapping Up

Week 14 was a blend of polish, preparation, and celebration. From final UI integration to festival interactions, the project came together in a way that showcased the team’s full semester of work. As we close out this cycle, we’re proud of how far the build has come—and excited for what comes next.
