Week 5

This week, we narrowed down our overall experience design. After exploring many possible spaces and features in previous weeks, we decided to focus on a smaller set of core spaces that better support our goal of creating a meaningful alumni journey.

Space Structure

We finalized four main spaces in the experience:

The lobby acts as the main gathering space where alumni first arrive and reconnect. Inside the lobby, we plan to include a clothing shop where guests can get T-shirts and accessories inspired by ETC culture. There will also be a photo booth where people can take group photos of their avatars as a way to capture memories.

The gallery is designed to showcase ETC’s past and future, including projects and timelines. This space focuses more on browsing and reflection.

The lounge provides a more relaxed environment for conversation. While people can talk anywhere, this space is meant to support more intentional and comfortable social interaction.

The playground is where we introduce a minigame. Since games are an important part of ETC culture, we want to include a playful activity in the experience. Our current idea is an easter egg hunt, where guests receive a simple mission to find specific items hidden across the environment. The environment will be designed as a remixes of ETC existing spaces.

Plan for Next Week

We have scheduled several alumni interviews to better understand their expectations and see if our current direction aligns with their needs. We will share insights from these conversations in next week’s blog.
