This week, we started preparing for halves and focused on gathering feedback from alumni.
Alumni Interviews
We interviewed several ETC alumni to better understand their memories and what they would like to experience in a virtual reunion.
Some key takeaways:
- Alumni mainly want to connect with classmates and talk with friends
- Light activities like games are welcome, but not the main focus
- Many people want to revisit past projects and shared experiences
- Interest in seeing both ETC history and what alumni are doing now
- Many memorable ETC elements were mentioned (such as the purple curtain), which left strong impressions across different years
Overall, the feedback aligns well with our current direction. Our focus on social spaces, light interactions, and project-based content feels appropriate.
One especially helpful insight was learning about these memorable ETC details from different time periods. Both past and more recent references give us ideas for what to include in our spaces, and we plan to bring them in as environmental elements or small details throughout the experience.
