Week 8

Summary: Despite it being Spring break, we took turns working to compensate for the time away at GDC. We visited Dragon’s Den and developed a prototype of the gameplay. Additionally, we updated the sound system, character animation and environment asset.

Visit of Dragons Den:
We visited Dragon’s Den, where we played and recorded our current version of the game in the church. At the ropes course, we tested out Xreal light. We also reconfirmed the logistics of the play area with the client and scanned a higher resolution mesh of the play area for anchoring function.


Programming updates after the visit:
Following the playtest at Dragon’s Den, we revised the gameplay and game design based on the storyboard created last week.Additionally, we completed the Character/Scene Animation blockout in Unity and the basic game loop on the Choir Loft Platform. Furthermore, we implemented the basic mechanism for ground interaction.
