This is the last real week of work we had, all that’s left now is final presentations, celebrations, and what I can anticipate to be the biggest cleaning day of my life (since we have essentially taken over the fabrication lab for the past 2-4 months). Anyway, this week we added our tutorial and game intro, fixed some sounds, made some more UI, filmed our final video, and made one last hardware adjustment, LIGHTS!
Intro/Tutorial Video:
This is the intro we have been planning for a long time, emulating a corporate style “welcome to the company” video we wanted to start our game with a short intro teaching players the rules and also letting them know their role within our game. Huge thank you once again to Liam Neely for doing our sound design!
UI Adjustments:
After receiving a lot of good feedback at softs, we made some quick changes to our UI. We added a start screen, updated the dialogue menu to have a clear selection outline and button instructions, and to the scoreboard display we added call outs for the three pop-out states, as well as a balls remaining and a 321 countdown that plays as the game starts.

Lights and Patterns:
This week Adeline and Nightray made some crazy progress on one of our stretch goals! They drilled 12 new holes in our playfield and mounted lights behind them. They then wired all of them up so we can now access them through Unity. Adeline also made a few different lighting patterns. Now they can all react to a pop-bumper or target being hit by changing to that color, they idle white until you shoot a pinball, once the pinball is shot into play they all turn rainbow, and at the end of each round they cycle on and off linearly to top of the board to guide viewers attention back to our monitor.

Filming Our Final Video:
This week we also had a chance to just enjoy what we had built. Below are some BTS photos. We are excited to both to present our project and show you our final video. We hope to post those soon.

I love my team <3
