Summary of the week: This week, we finished up some of our final work and moved our materials to the crossover of the Rauh to install after Thanksgiving!
Shopping Trip
This week, Lauren led a shopping trip to Michael’s and Best Buy to purchase any last items we needed for our installation including cloud fluff, prop stands, more hanging wire, electrical cables, etc.

Audio
On Monday, Angie finished editing audio, as well as helping prepare for the move. All the audio files, the normal speaking voices and whispered deliveries, of the actors have been edited and are ready to run through the directional speakers.
Plaques and Pedestals
Lauren and Aldora laser cut the plaques out of black and gold acrylic sheets with Bryan’s help. They came out great!
Angie wrote on the plaques with invisible ink pen, changing the verb of the sentence to make it have a hidden meaning. For example, Goneril’s plaque changes from “the daughter to carry on my legacy” to “the daughter that will destroy my legacy,” as seen in the photos below.
Aldora also finished the writing and painting on the pedestals using invisible ink pen and UV light.
Clouds
Jiaxin worked more on the chicken wire clouds and finished three large hanging clouds.
Hardware and Software
Charlie worked on getting the DMX lighting controls to integrate with Unity for all four UV lights. Charlie also diagnosed a problem around the mixer we chose not working with the Unity surround sound implementation by tricking it into thinking it was 7.1 surround sound with a virtual sound card.
Load-In
Angie has been in contact with Alex, a student who works for the CMU School of Drama, to bring a truck to the ETC. On Tuesday, we brought all of our hardware to the ETC loading dock and drove it to the Purnell Center. Alex drove the truck and helped us bring it inside. Thank you, Alex! We stored everything in the crossover of the Rauh and with this, we are ready for our install next week.

Conclusion
The week was very productive, as everything is completed and ready to roll for our install at 9AM on Monday. Everyone gets to take a break for Thanksgiving weekend and rest up before the big event! Special thanks to Alex for driving the truck and Dave Purta for helping us get to this point!
