Week 4: February 11, 2022 – Honing in on the topic – fabric waste and clothing

Later this week, we came up with a refined project description that fit the context of our topic and progress.

ECHO is a Games for Change project focused on creating a game that transforms players through environmental awareness and care. We aim to accomplish this by focusing on building community between players through gameplay, narrative, and visuals supported by research.

ECHO has decided to focus on fabric and clothing as the focus of this semester, which still contains a broad range of subtopics that comes into the conversation. Our goal is to research and collect data and as a part of that invite subject matter experts to help us understand in depth what areas within that topic are at stake as well as obtain necessary information for shaping the focal point of our game.

Progress notes from the team:

Programmers : 1. Unity does not support mobile web very well. For normal PC browser, it is prefect. If we want a 3D experience on mobile web, we have to switch engine. 2. We also need the networking supported as well.

UX Designers and Co-Producers : Reach out to Olivia, one of our SMEs to arrange a meeting time for an interview.
