Aktis project
a room-scale, multiplayer, tangible MR experience
—— exploring a future where any real-world object can be a controller ——

Who are we
Innovative
Instead of using traditional controllers, Aktis explores the idea that everything in the real world has the potential to become an interface. We built this MR project using Unity, Meta Quest 3, and ArUco markers to explore new possibilities for how players interact with virtual worlds.

What We Do
Beyond Traditional Controllers
Our goal is to demonstrate that mixed reality experiences can be more intuitive, more expressive, and more immersive when developers treat the real world objects as controllers.

Creating.
Immersive Experience
We designed this project as a room-based, multiplayer, tangible experience, encouraging players to move, collaborate, and experiment together in a shared physical space.
By maximizing object-based interactions, we aim to:
- Encourage curiosity and exploration
- Create surprising, memorable “magical moments”
- Turn the entire room into a playable system

Bridging.
Physical and Virtual Spaces
Not only can real-world objects influence the virtual world, but virtual events can also respond back, altering how players perceive and use the physical space around them. This two-way feedback loop creates “magical moments” where reality and virtuality feel deeply intertwined.

Inspiring.
Future Developers
Aktis is not just an experience, but an technology exploration. Through this project, we hope to inspire future developers to:
- Rethink what a “controller” can be
- Design interactions rooted in physical space
