Ye Wei | Producer

Ye Wei is a UI/UX designer, UX researcher, and game designer with a background in industrial design. He specializes in uncovering design insights through data analysis and creating user-friendly experiences through gamification and inclusive design. Passionate about understanding users on a deeper level, he conducts research to identify core needs and pain points. With strong rapid prototyping skills, he quickly tests hypotheses and iterates on impactful solutions. By blending data-driven insights with human-centered design, Ye Wei strives to build innovative and accessible experiences that enhance user interaction and engagement.

Jing Chung | Programmer

Jing is a programmer and technical system designer passionate about VR/MR innovation. With a Computer Science background at both undergraduate and graduate levels, she transitioned from Principal Firmware Engineer to the gaming industry to revolutionize immersive experiences. During her time at CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center, Jing explored VR’s potential through diverse projects: VR rock climbing experiences, move-in-place mechanics to combat motion sickness, breathing-based input systems, and haptic glove integration for emotionally engaging interactions. She continues pushing VR/MR boundaries and deepening her expertise in this evolving field.

Lea Shi | Technical Artist, Assistant Producer

Lea Shi contributes to projects as a producer, programmer, and/or artist. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Art, and enjoys collaborating across disciplines to bring creative visions to life. Her work focuses on crafting engaging experiences within the entertainment industry.

Jack Chou | Programmer

Jack is a student at CMU ETC and a programmer with a background in Biomedical Engineering and a passion for Game Design. I aim to create immersive and meaningful experiences through interactive VR media, compelling gameplay, and applications in education and healthcare, while exploring ways to apply Artificial Intelligence to enhance gameplay dynamics and player interaction.

Sally Jin | Artist

Sally Jin is an artist who earned a BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University. She loves creating art that explores life and social contexts. She also has a passion for game design and explores technology and new media, striving to create engaging interactive experiences.

Eve Ren | Artist

Eve Ren is a 3D modeler and animator who earned her BFA in Computer Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design. She previously worked as a 3D Modeler at Outward, Inc., creating detailed digital assets for interior and furniture design production. Currently pursuing her master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center, she focuses on stylized visual design and character-driven animation, aiming to create immersive works that bridge animation and interactive media.

Vivian Shen

Vivian Shen has a PhD in robotics with a background in sensing and VR/AR. Her research explores physical computing and embedded AI for experimental media, focused on developing haptic platforms and interaction techniques.

Ricardo Washington

Ricardo Washington is an ETC faculty member specializing in digital art and production. He supports student teams in creating high-quality visual work and growing as confident, expressive artists.
