Every design started somewhere. Below is what our Experience Designer, Gamma Zheng, wrote when she created the first prototype of our experience. Let’s take a look:
Innerverse began with a simple vision: in a world saturated with stress, how might we use immersive space to offer experiencers a sanctuary, a place to temporarily step away and reset emotionally?
For us, this reset isn’t about erasing the weight of reality, but about facilitating a subtle shift in one’s inner state. Within this space, we wanted people to be able to settle from information overload, rediscover a sense of resonance with the world beyond their own isolated emotions, and gain a fresh perspective on themselves.
To achieve this, we designed the entire experience as a metaphorical journey inward. At the outset, the system is deliberately left open, no rushed tasks, no dense setup thrown at the experiencer. They’re given ample time to breathe, to observe, to feel how their own presence begins to connect with this virtual world. This isn’t just a slowing of physical pacing, it’s a necessary act of making space for the mind.
As the experience unfolds, the project gently touches on the vulnerability that people often hide while striving to appear strong. In a modern environment that so often demands invulnerability, the experience carries a core belief: true resilience isn’t just about moving forward alone, it’s also about accepting help and facing inner uncertainty head-on. Courage, here, isn’t the absence of fear, but choosing to take the next step through the fog even when doubt remains.
