This week, we completed our final build on Wednesday and hosted our Open House on Friday.

Progress Overview

Leading up to the final build, we made several important refinements:

  • Improved our physical props by switching from tape to magnets for the paintings, making them more stable and easier to interact with.
  • Fixed in-game lighting to create a more consistent and polished visual experience.
  • Adjusted the sound levels to better balance the overall audio.
  • Redesigned the window interaction. The original outdoor scene was too polygon-heavy, which negatively impacted performance. To address this, we moved this interaction to the end of the experience. Now, after players find all the spirits, a helper prompts them to open the window blinds, allowing the spirits to return to the witch’s castle.

The Open House was a great success—we saw so many happy faces, and it was exciting to watch people genuinely enjoy the experience we created.

What’s Next

At this stage, our focus has shifted to preparing for the final presentations. We are refining how we communicate our process, design decisions, and overall experience to effectively showcase our work.
